International travelers can use app to speed through O'Hare security

According to USA Today, O'Hare is the latest airport to make use of an app to help speed up the security process for people traveling internationally.

O'Hare is the fourth major airport using the app, called Mobile Passport Control. Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson, Miami and Seattle-Tacoma airports are the other three. MPC was launched in August of 2014, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It is the first of its kind and is said to have been made to maintain high security standards while making the process of international travel much faster and easier.

App users can download it from iTunes or Google Play and submit their passports and customs forms before even entering the airport. Once passengers reach the airport CBP agent, they simply swipe a barcode from their phone or tablet which allows them to speed through the line. They can also use the express lane for an even faster trip through security.

Travelers from Canada with a Canadian passport and or B1 or B2 status, as well as U.S. citizens with a valid U.S. passport, can use the new app. You can even download the app from the O'Hare airport parking lot and quickly enter your passport information to be able to pass through the lines swiftly by the time you make it to security.
