Sea-Tac adds second daily flight to DubaiDate: March 30, 2015 | Category:
Starting July 1, 2015, Sea-Tac will offer a second daily flight to Dubia via Emirates. Tickets for the first flight went on sale on March 24.
The flights will utilize a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, which seats 266 people across three classes. This massive craft is used by Emirates to make direct flights to nine U.S. cities. The 10th destination is set to be added in September when Emirates begins making flights to Orlando.
The airline began servicing Sea-Tac in March 2012 and added 80 seats to its aircrafts just one year later to accommodate growing demand. In more than two years of operation at Sea-Tac, Emirates flights have carried over 550,000 passengers from Seattle to Dubai.
According to the airport, long-haul international travel from Sea-Tac has increased almost 80 percent since 2009. To meet the growing demand, the airport has added 14 intercontinental services over that time.
Dubai is popular for its sunny, sandy location and luxurious amenities, from boat and camel tours, water parks and even the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East. It is also home to the famous Burj Al Arab, a hotel that claims to be the most luxurious in the world.
